Built for the founders AI forgot
Behind millions of businesses in the US is a founder who thinks in another language.
The roofer in Houston. The family that runs a law firm in Miami. The insurance agent in Phoenix who built a book of business one referral at a time. Their customers might speak English, Spanish, or both. But the founder learns, decides and buys in their own language.
That matters more than anyone in AI has noticed. Business owners don’t adopt technology from a settings page. They adopt it from someone they trust, who explains it in the language they think in. Almost every AI platform is sold, taught and supported in English, so these founders get AI last, if they get it at all.
We think that’s the biggest opportunity in AI right now. And we’re winning it.
Today we’re announcing our $6M seed round, led by Chingona Ventures, with Crew Capital and Cometa, and participation from Broom Ventures, 500 Global and Fen Ventures.
Where we are
When I moved to the US to build Dapta, I brought an acquisition engine from Latin America: teaching business owners AI in Spanish, a free product, and founders with no technical background building their own AI agents.
Then something unexpected happened. The same engine worked, almost unchanged, for Spanish-speaking founders in the US. Different customers, different industries, same reality: they wanted AI, and nobody was explaining it to them in their language.
So we made a call: founders who don’t buy in English, starting with Spanish speakers in the US. Everything accelerated.
- 200,000+ users have tried Dapta
- ~4,000 new businesses join every week, almost all through our own content
- Revenue doubled in the last six months, our annual revenue run-rate passed $4M, and growth is still accelerating
- Paying customers in 26 countries, from small service businesses to companies like Mercado Libre and Rappi
Spanish-speaking founders in the US aren’t a niche. Latino-owned businesses grew 44% in five years, and their revenue grew 36% (Stanford). They’re one of the fastest-growing parts of the American economy, and they’re choosing their AI platform right now.
They’re choosing Dapta.
What we’re building
Dapta isn’t another AI sales tool. It’s the platform where any business builds its own AI team, with no engineers.
We start with sales because that’s where the return is immediate. A call nobody answers is a customer you lose to whoever picks up first. A Dapta agent answers every lead in seconds, by phone, text or WhatsApp, in English or Spanish, qualifies them and books the appointment. Our customers see it in revenue: Aether Mechanical’s COO says Dapta helped grow revenue “upwards of 20 percent.”
But the first agent is just the beginning. Once a business sees one working, it builds the next one: follow-ups, reactivating old leads, client intake, customer service.
What’s crazy is how far that goes, even in small businesses. More than 50 paying customers have expanded their usage 10x or more within their first six months on Dapta. Small businesses aren’t supposed to grow like that inside a software product. When the agents are doing real work, they do. The owner or their sales leader describes what they want in plain language, their language, and Dapti, our AI agent, builds it, connected to their calendar and CRM. No implementation partner. No onboarding call.
Enterprise AI companies send engineers to every customer. That will never reach a 10-person HVAC company. We built the opposite: a product that sets itself up, and a team that teaches thousands of founders at once through daily office hours, weekly webinars and in-person workshops, in the language they think in.
Every business will have AI agents, the same way it has a website and a phone number. The only question is whether the founders AI forgot get them last again.
We’re making sure they don’t.
What’s next
This round is about one thing: winning our category in the US. More content and community for Spanish-speaking founders across the country, more people helping customers grow, and agents that run the front office on their own.
Spanish is our first language, not our last. Millions of founders around the world think, learn and buy in a language other than English. The playbook that works here (local creators, local community, one platform) is how we’ll reach every one of them.
Join us
We’re a team of former founders and creators who’d rather teach a million businesses than sell to a hundred. If that sounds like you, we’re hiring.
And if you’re a founder who’s been waiting for AI that speaks your language: build your first agent for free.
Esto apenas empieza.
